What stays on your device

Nolege stores translation history, including submitted text and generated results, language preferences, and usage and subscription state locally. The App Store app does not automatically upload your history to the developer's personal server. Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are disabled in this version.

Local data remains until you delete it or remove the app's data. Device backups may retain copies according to your Apple backup settings. Removing local history does not erase information already processed by a service provider.

When you use AI features

Text you submit, relevant conversation context, and language instructions are sent through Nolege's Cloudflare-hosted service to OpenAI to generate translations, explanations, pronunciation text, and conversational replies. When you tap the speech button, text is sent through the same service to OpenAI to generate audio. Nolege does not need a microphone recording for this feature.

Cloudflare transports the request and applies access and usage controls. Nolege does not add submitted text or generated results to server logs or a server-side translation-history database. These requests expose technical connection information, such as your IP address, to the service providers. Avoid submitting passwords, financial details, or other sensitive information.

OpenAI and Cloudflare may process and retain information under their respective service terms and privacy practices, including for security and abuse prevention. Nolege does not promise zero retention by its service providers. See OpenAI's API data controls and Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Usage limits and service protection

Nolege creates a random installation identifier and sends it to the Cloudflare-hosted service. The service converts it to a pseudonymous value and stores daily usage counters to apply free-tier limits and protect service costs. This is not an advertising identifier and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

Operational logs and traces may contain technical metadata such as time, endpoint, response status, and network information. Nolege does not intentionally log submitted translation text, OpenAI responses, Apple transaction documents, or session tokens.

Subscriptions

Apple handles purchases, billing, and payment details. Nolege uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information, and sends signed app and subscription transaction proofs to its service for verification, to determine whether Unlimited is active. The app does not collect your payment-card details. Apple's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. The app can include device details in a feedback message. Please review your message before sending it.

Support correspondence is used to answer requests, troubleshoot issues, and meet legal obligations, and is retained only as needed for those purposes. You may request deletion by email, subject to applicable legal requirements.

This website has no custom advertising or analytics scripts. Hosting providers may process IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the site. Email links open your email application; there is no support form or AI chat on this website.

Your choices and rights

You can choose not to use network-based AI features, manage local history in the app, and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information, or to object to processing and complain to a privacy regulator. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your request and cannot directly erase data held independently by Apple or OpenAI.

Security and international processing

AI and support providers may process information outside your country. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Nolege does not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Policy updates
